Carney In January: Yeah, Obama Doesn’t Care About Polling — Then Campaign Spends $1.4 Million On Polling Data

“I think the fact of the matter is the president, the administration is not focused on polling data,” Jay Carney told reporters in January.

Oh he isn’t focused on polling data? Then why did his campaign and the DNC spend $1.4 million on polling in March?

The DNC has spent $1.2M on polling, with eight different firms in March — following a February where the committee spent another $1.1M on polling. The Obama campaign spent another $237,000 on polling in March with one firm.

For a guy who isn’t “focused on polling data,” $1.4 million sure is a lot….
